To say that the ending of the game cried out for a sequel would be an understatement. So many questions were left unanswered and promised adventures never came.
However, it now seems highly unlikely that a sequel would be made. It's been eight years already since Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy was released back in 2003.
The developers could be secretly working on a second game all this time, though, right? Nope, Eurocom has stated continuously after being asked by hordes of persistent fans that no sequel has been planned. This is probably down to the fact that the game didn't sell as well as it was expected to, which is a shame.
"More dangerous adventures will come in the future for both of you. But for the moment, rest and enjoy your triumph."
"Don't worry Tutankhamen, there must be another way to change you back. Perhaps other worlds will hold the key to your salvation.
We will help you find the answer..."
-ImhotepSurely Eurocom wouldn't have left the story of Sphinx dangling on a cliffhanger if they did not have a sequel in mind at some point. Now in 2011 there are still no signs of a follow-up but if any come along, you will see it here.
